From here you can let yourself be led to the nearby Colle del Lys, where the trails weave gently, or take on the steeper, more solitary climbs of Monte Rocca Sella and Monte Musinè, stone giants hanging above the lakes and the plain. All the way to reach, between history and sky, the majestic Sacra di San Michele, Piedmont’s symbolic abbey perched on Monte Pirchiriano.

Mountain bike excursions
The area around the hamlet is ideal to explore by mountain bike, along quiet roads and views that follow you with every pedal stroke.
One of the most interesting routes in the area is the loop ride to the Sanctuary of Madonna della Bassa: starting right from Borgata Acquarossa, the route crosses charming hamlets such as Sala, Bert and Giorda, alternating paved and dirt sections with pleasant singletrack through the woods. The descent along the Sentiero degli Alpini is then especially scenic and leads back to the hamlet, offering a complete experience of nature, history and beautiful valley views. An easy, relaxing route and suitable for all bikers.
Practical note: If you don’t have a mountain bike with you, you can rent one at Lago Piccolo di Avigliana and set off right away to discover the area.
Snowshoe trails

Among the most important landmarks stands out Rocca Sella, a true icon of local vertical climbing. In addition, the nearby areas between Villar Dora, Caprie and Rubiana host small crags and historic rocky sections: here you can climb in an authentic setting and away from the crowds, along routes that wind through woods and sun-kissed slopes.
Tibetan bridge
A short distance from Borgata Acquarossa, the Val di Susa offers a unique, adrenaline-filled experience: crossing Tibetan bridges suspended over the void, immersed in spectacular natural scenery. These are especially evocative routes, letting you experience the mountains from an unusual perspective, between adventure and breathtaking views.
The area’s main landmark is the Tibetan Bridge of the San Gervasio Gorges, located between Cesana Torinese and Claviere. This extraordinary structure is considered one of the longest in the world, with an overall length that even exceeds 500 meters.
