The Val di Susa: a land of stories, peaks, and ancient trails
For centuries, Val di Susa has welcomed travellers, pilgrims, and merchants along the ancient Via Francigena, preserving in its landscape the traces of encounters and journeys through the valley.
From Borgata Acquarossa, you can set out to discover unique treasures: the majestic Sacra di San Michele — the abbey perched on the rock that inspired The Name of the Rose —, the Avigliana Lakes, Villar Dora Castle, and the ancient village of Novalesa. Until reaching Susa, the historic “key to Italy”, which preserves two thousand years of history and epic struggles within its monuments.
Framed by giants rising above three thousand metres, such as the majestic Rocciamelone, and protected by three large natural parks, the valley is a living stage in every season. From winter ski resorts to high-altitude summer treks, through traditional rituals and alpine festivals that colour the autumn season: here, nature and culture intertwine in an authentic way.
You can explore, move freely, experience the mountains at your own pace… and then return, at the end of the day, to the silence and peace of your borgata.

How to reach us
By car
From Turin, take the A32 Fréjus motorway and exit at Avigliana Ovest. Follow the SP197 towards Rubiana and continue in the direction of Colle del Lys. After passing the hamlet of Mollarfornero (Mompellato), turn right following the signs for the Sanctuary of Madonna della Bassa. Once you reach Borgata Pascaletto, turn right again and continue for approximately 1 kilometre: the road will lead you directly to Borgata Acquarossa.
If you are arriving by plane, it is possible to rent a car directly at the airport.
